Sizing

Sizing Information For Cruiser Bikes

Cruiser Bikes are most commonly sized by the diameter of the tire. Often, you'll see that a cruiser bike is either 20", 24", or 26" size. This means that tire diameter is 20", 24", or 26". The most common and most popular size is the 26" size cruiser bike. This is because 26" size cruiser bikes are the size that fit most adults.

Another size consideration is the size of the frame. While cruiser frames can come in a variety of sizes, the most important measurement is the wheel size. If you are a very tall person, you may look for a cruiser that has a larger frame.

Nearly all cruiser bikes can be adjusted to accomodate a variety of body sizes, lengths, and types. The handlebars almost always move up/down and tilt down/up. The seat also easily moves up/down and can tilt down/up. Making the seat and handlebar adjustments are the two most critical adjustments to getting a good fit on a cruiser bike.

Keep in mind, unlike a bike such as a $5000 precision road racing bike, getting a perfect fit on a cruiser is not as essential. You're not looking to win the Tour de France on this thing, are you?  :) Cruiser Bikes are designed for the casual rider, so don't stress out too much about the size. Just get a cruiser that fits your size range, and you should be ok! After making a few simple adjustments to the handlebar and seat, 99% of our customers are happy with the fit!
